Meissner Tierney attorney Thomas Nichols testified in front of Congress, this time for the Subcommittee on Select Revenue Measures of the Committee on Ways and Means of the United States House of Representatives. The testimony focused on the Small Business and Pass-Through Entity Tax Reform Discussion Draft that was issued by the Ways and Means Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives earlier this year.

Practice Areas

At Meissner Tierney, we take a creative, collaborative approach to each matter, which means our lawyers work closely with each other so that our clients always receive the fullness of expertise that resides within our office walls.  Attorneys at the firm do not practice exclusively within narrow areas of the law or "departments."  Instead, they "specialize" in honing and developing the skills necessary to serve our diverse client base, ultimately allowing for more natural and more broadly supported practice groups.  Some of our firm’s areas of service are generally set forth below.

Given that our firm is neither a "litigation boutique" nor strictly transactional in its practice, we are situated similar to larger firms in being able to advise and represent clients on both the litigation and transactional implications of their legal issues.  These cross-specialty considerations are often quite important.  Indeed, for each transactional matter we handle, if a dispute related to that matter ever needed to be litigated, our litigation team is poised to handle that need.
