It is with great sadness that we are sharing the news of the passing of Shareholder Dennis L. Fisher. Dennis played a critical role at our firm over the past 40 years. His command of the law, his management insights and approach along with his personal and professional ethical standards were all of the highest order making him an outstanding lawyer and colleague. In addition to his prominent role in directing the firm, he litigated and advised extensively in many business areas, including environmental, securities law, business torts, civil rights, municipal law, property damage and contract law. Dennis represented clients in federal and state circuit courts in Wisconsin and other states, as well as the Wisconsin and Federal Appellate Courts.
Dennis was genuinely and fundamentally a good person; and in his low-key way, he had a substantial positive impact on the lives of those around him. He served as a mentor to a number of MTFN’s successful attorneys. Dennis was also very involved in our community serving as Director of the Wisconsin 4H Foundation, Inc., President and Director of the Whitefish Bay Library Fund, Inc. and President of the Milwaukee Audubon Society to name a few.
Meissner Tierney Fisher & Nichols S.C. is very grateful to have been a part of the legacy that Dennis leaves behind. Dennis was highly respected in the legal community, and his good nature and integrity endeared him to everyone. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and MTFN.
