On June 16, 2021, after nine years in the making, The Couture project in Milwaukee, Wisconsin celebrated the start of its construction with a ceremonial ground-breaking. Meissner Tierney Fisher & Nichols S.C.’s (“MTFN”) own Attorney Adam J. Tutaj and Attorney William T. Stuart were the lead counsel on The Couture for developers Richard Barrett and Tan Lo. Attorneys Tutaj and Stuart, as well as MTFN’s Marketing Coordinator Katie Antony, all attended the groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate this signature development overlooking Milwaukee’s Lakeshore.
The Couture, which will stand 44-stories tall with approximately 322 residential apartments, retail space and parking facilities, will serve as a public transit hub for both the City of Milwaukee Streetcar and Milwaukee County Bus Rapid Transit. The project was, in part, made possible through over $100 million in HUD-insured financing. Completion of the project is expected in the Fall of 2023. It will be a signature development for both Milwaukee’s lakefront and skyline.
